Guyker tuners always seem to fit and work perfectly. I have never had an issue with any of their models. if I do have one critisim it is the price. I built a custom guitar salute to the American flag. I ordered custom locking tuners in red with custom white pegs. The total was just over $100. Ouch! But yes, they do look and perform great.
These came up under search for brass bridge pins, the price was good so I made a purchase.
They came in, and they're cheap plastic, not worthy of a quality high end guitar.
What a disappointment.
I wanted something different and something quality. For the money I’m so happy with the outcome and look. Definitely my new go to for custom builds
Nice tactile feeling, good tuning stability, overall good build quality. I recommend this product.
You HAVE to include mounting screws for your locking nuts, specifically when the holes are a specific size. Also there is no height adjustment so you need to manufacture shims like Floyd Rose does if you plan on taking them on.. a little disappointing, the hardware looks amazing too bad it’s not.
These machine heads are great. Very easy to install and very easy to use. This definitely makes changing strings very easy. I would and have recommended these to fellow musicians.
I purchased these to match a satin gold Floyd Rose I was having installed in a Kramer Striker. The knobs, Floyd Rose 1000, pickups and locking nut all match the black hockey stick headstock with a gold Kramer logo. I am very satisfied.
If your guitar has treaded M8 bridge bushings the posts that come with your JM roller bridge will not work. However, as there is little to none rocking of this bridge, you can either use vintage M4/M8 adjustment post or you can drill the bridge holes to 6,5mm, allowing your standard LP style posts to fit. You should use a pillar drill and affix the bridge to a piece of wood, so your drill will not slip and cause damage.
After two weeks with the tuners installed I can say that they’re awesome. My guitar don’t get out of tune even after hours playing. Also the string change is way much easier and the lock system is totally functional.
My initial review was 1 star and I was regretful immediately afterwards... im glad to have the chance to make things right. The tuners i bought weren't the exact fit, but I made them work. They look amazing with the cream buttons and my les paul looks amazing with GREAT tuning stability. They make string changes an absolute breeze and I honestly couldn't be happier with them! Great product and i will absolutely recommend this company to others!
I wavered forever about getting a FR Special, FR 1000 or a Gotoh, but I opted for the cheapest option (purchased through Amazon) because this is a project guitar. This thing has a very heavy base plate, it weighed about 2x as much as the knockoff FR that came with my guitar kit. After stretching the strings out, I played this for two hours and it returned to tune every time I abused the trem. I'm pumped about this unit and I will recommend it to everybody.
Purchased some new knobs for two of my basses, and they do not disappoint! Added the right touch to my guitars! 🎸
I have updated all of my guitars with all guyker products and they look and perform fabulously! Rockstar looks with high quality manufacturing in the blue collar working musician's price range! I've bought just about every type of tuner guyker makes and they always look sexy and do as promised. In the 3 years that ive been using guyker products, I've never once had a problem installing them or had a need to complain. I've been playing guitar for 30 years and I can't say the same about some of the high dollar German and American companies that put you through the ringer when you have any issue. Inovation is another word I associate with guyker. I can't wait to see what they do next!
The bridge post and lock broke while I was reducing the action using an allen key. I had to use my stock bridge post to be able to keep using it. The action is capped at 1.75 this way, which is not ideal.
Partly due to the fact that they use a Squier J Mascis JM for the demo I assumed it would fit but in fact the Squier bridge poles are threaded, not slide it. So this bridge won’t work without substantial modification. Just FYI. As a bridge it’s fine, smooth, but beware the posts.
You'll get 6 screws, 6 shims (to make the button tight to the shaft). I'm using the gold screws that came with the tuners. 6 screws with the buttons, one screw has no head. (see photo)
Installation was easy and it performs just as I hoped. My guitar’s D string was making contact with the A string tuning peg, as well as going through the nut slot at an extreme angle. The string retainer corrected the problem and allows the string to pass through the nut slot without any binding. I also installed one on the other side of the head for balance. I’m very satisfied with my purchase.
